Jessica De Vault Hale
Editorial & Creative Director
Jessica De Vault Hale is an editor, award-winning writer and creative project manager. She is currently the Editor and Advertising Coordinator for OTC Beauty Magazine, the top trade publication for multicultural beauty supply store owners. Jessica is also the former editor-in-chief of Hype Hair, a Black hair and beauty publication.
Jessica penned articles for companies such as The New York Times Regional Group and Ebony magazine before launching her fashion styling and branding business in 2011, employing a team of eight freelancers. She creatively directed and styled numerous editorial and commercial projects before switching gears to focus on brand consulting for women-led companies.
In 2017, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she decided to return to her journalistic roots to take on her current role. There, she learned how to work alongside the marketing teams of over 100 beauty manufacturers. On any given day, she provides graphic design advice for advertisers, overseeing the design of the monthly magazine, or presenting marketing ideas to influential brands to execute on her company's owned media.
These unique roles gave her a wealth of knowledge in digital and print content, sales and distribution and consumer marketing. Most importantly, that information provided her the expertise to effectively lead many creative professionals and serve as a liaison between them and the client - making her a one-of-a-kind hybrid creative project manager.
