Jessica De Vault Hale
Fashion & Beauty Expert + Editor
Jessica De Vault Hale is a magazine editor and a multicultural beauty industry expert with a passion for empowering women in the ethnic beauty market. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the African American hair and beauty magazine Hype Hair, in addition to OTC Beauty Magazine, the top trade publication for multicultural beauty supply store owners.
Thanks to her dual roles, she can straddle both the consumer and retail sides of the fence. Her unique background has given her a wealth of knowledge in this business's inner workings – from product conception, brand building, sales and distribution, and consumer marketing.
Jessica penned articles for companies such as The New York Times Regional Group and Ebony magazine before launching her fashion styling and branding business in 2011. The Fayetteville, North Carolina native, received her bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication at North Carolina A&T State University.
She creatively directed and styled numerous editorial and commercial projects, before switching gears and focusing her attention on styling female executives in the tech space and brand consulting women-led businesses. In 2017, after moving to Atlanta, Georgia, she decided to return to her journalistic roots.
Jessica now leverages her position at her two influential publications to educate and shine a light on aspiring boss babes in the beauty sphere.
